“When it came to doing the RFW designation, it was kind of a no-brainer for us, ” said Moon Yoga’s founder and owner, Amber Treece in the designation ceremony held on March 1, 2025.

The small, cozy ceremony was short but meaningful, with Allene Gremaud, RFW Program Coordinator and Moon Yoga instructor saying a few words to welcome folks to the studio and say what it means for this studio to become designated. She expressed her gratitude for Moon Yoga offering a welcoming, supportive environment led by Amber. There was a murmur of agreement from attendees.
Amber then said a few words about how there are many people who are a part of the yoga community and find yoga through a recovery journey. Moon Yoga wants to be a part of giving those people a safe place.

Following remarks, Moon Yoga instructors Allene, Amber, and Alyson O’Donnell led a 3-part gentle yoga flow ending in a guided meditation. The whole experience was wholesome and a gentle start to a Saturday.
Attendees were encouraged to take RFW paraphernalia and Narcan before returning to the rest of their day.
